Proposed Renewable Energy Development - Drop In 20 April

Proposed Renewable Energy Development on land south of Odiham near Long Sutton and South Warnborough

I am writing to you in my capacity as the Community Engagement Manager for the UK-based renewable energy developer BayWa r.e UK. Having recently joined the company, I wish to introduce myself and to invite you and your fellow Parish Councillors to a public drop-in event to learn more about our proposals for a renewable energy development within your area.

Fleet Solar Ltd, owned by BayWa r.e. UK, is progressing plans for a 47.5 MW Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) development on land south of Odiham, north of Long Sutton and east of South Warnborough.

We will be hosting a drop-in event on Thursday 20 April 2023 at Long Sutton Village Hall, The Street, Hook between 2pm and 7.30pm. This will be an opportunity for residents and other interested parties to view the proposal and speak with members of the project team about the plans and to give feedback.

We will be advertising the event more widely nearer the time, but as a courtesy, we wanted to give you, and members of Long Sutton Parish Council, prior notice in the hope that you will be able to attend.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly on 0141 6740004 or email alda.forbes@baywa-re.co.uk

Yours sincerely,

Alda Forbes

BayWa r.e UK - Stakeholder and Community Engagement Manager
