"Could we remind parishioners of the advice contained within the attached leaflet Bonfire Guidance (providing alternative methods of dealing with garden waste).  Whilst bonfires are not illegal (but at risk of statutory nuisance), we would ask you to take into account the welfare of your fellow neighbours not least as we have some infirm with respiratory illnesses who will be affected by a relentless bonfire. Moreover, with the sun at last out, your neighbours would like to be able to enjoy their gardens without exposure to smoke and/or acrid smells drifting across their gardens."
